Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain the fixed asset register, including telecom towers, fiber optic cables, transmission equipment, and IT infrastructure.
Monitor capitalization of network buildouts, installations, upgrades, and project costs.
Ensure correct depreciation and amortization based on asset category and useful life.
Record and track asset acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and retirements.
Reconcile fixed asset sub-ledger with the general ledger monthly.
Support physical verification of assets across field and technical locations.
Prepare fixed asset reports and analysis for management and auditors.
Oversee accounting for telecom-related inventory such as routers, switches, SIM cards, network parts, and other technical stock.
Monitor and reconcile inventory transactions from ERP and warehouse systems.
Analyze inventory variances, including obsolete and slow-moving items.
Coordinate with supply chain and technical teams to ensure real-time inventory tracking and accuracy.
Support periodic inventory counts and cycle counting procedures at technical and regional warehouses.
Ensure proper cost allocation (e.g., standard vs. actual cost) and compliance with accounting policies.
Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Ensure compliance with IFRS, and regulatory guidelines specific to the telecom industry.
Prepare audit schedules and liaise with internal/external auditors for fixed asset and inventory areas.
Support capital budgeting and forecasting processes.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in fixed assets and inventory accounting, preferably within the telecom, utilities, or infrastructure sectors.
Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS).
Experience with ERP systems
Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
Strong understanding of telecom asset classes and project accounting.
High attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical thinking.

Working Conditions:

Office based role (5 Days/Week and 8 Hours/Day).
