Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Upholding the HSE policy and procedures.
- Promoting a strong safety culture in both the Company and Contractor Teams.
- Managing all aspects of safety and delivery associated with pre-fabrication, construction and commissioning.
- Take every opportunity to train and coach Kurdishpersonnel in Development, Operations and
Maintenance groups, in all matters of construction management.
- Building strong relations with the Contractors and Management.
- The safe delivery of the project to the target schedule and cost.
- Managing multi-discipline, multi-functional teams.
- Interfacing with other functions to ensure smooth transition from projects to the operational phase.
- Ensuring that the quality standards are met.
- Ensuring that the contractor allocates the necessary resources to the project in a timely fashion.
- Leading other members of the team and providing them with guidance and expertise as required.
- Forecasing the completion dates based on progress and performance to date.
- Assisting with preparation of project plans, schedules, equipment, cost estimation and status reports.
Requirements:
- Qualified to Degree level or equivalent
- A minimum of 20 years’ relevant experience in a similar role.
- Hands on experience of design and construction activities.
- Good communication and ability to work as part of a multi-discipline and multi-cultural team.
- Ability to work with hard reporting lines and dotted line responsibilities.
- Fluent in English language (demonstrated verbal and written skills).
- Chartered engineer preferred.
Working Conditions:
Rotational Role 6/2 rotation based at the Field,
with occasional trips to the office.
