Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Daily readings from various mechanical equipment with the ability to identify potential issues.
- Maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing gas and diesel engines, including the use of specific diagnostic software on a laptop.
- Carrying out planned maintenance programmes on a wide range of equipment with emphasis on compressors, generators, diesel engines, pumps, fans, and hydraulics.
- Knowledge of Well Head Control Panels and the associated equipment
- Ability to use hand tools, welding machines, grinders, drills, etc.
- Knowledge of different types of oils and greases required for other duties.
- Experience in engine, motor, and pump overhaul and rebuild, replacing bearings, pistons, mechanical seals, etc.
- Responsible for the maintenance of all rotating and static equipment.
- Familiarization with Equipment Alignment methods.
- Maintaining and cleaning of pumps, coolers, and other process equipment.
- Monitor, maintain, and optimize mechanical devices to ensure smooth operations.
- Familiar with the environmental impact of waste materials and disposal from servicing equipment.
- Installing mechanical isolations as required before any work, as deemed necessary.
- Adhere to the preventative maintenance program in place to identify potential issues.
- Follow the Permit-to-Work system, SOPs, and safety management systems that are in place.
- Supervise Mechanical Apprentices and Maintenance Assistants.
Requirements:
- A technical or engineering degree in the mechanical field.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in the above at a hydrocarbon facility.
- Capable of understanding documents in the English language.
- Professional knowledge of items in essential duties.
- Effective and supportive team member.
- Capable of clear communication between team members.
- Capable of verbal and written communication in English.
Working Conditions:
Field-Based, Rotation.
