Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leader of the wellsite team with overall responsibility for conducting well operations in a safe and efficient manner.
- Identifies high risk situations, documents them, and adopts risk mitigation approach.
- Participates in HSE and non-conformance event investigations and reporting as required.
- Focal point on location for emergency response.
- Ensuring all well intervention personnel carry out their activities in accordance with HSE standards and expectations.
- Monitoring compliance with all statutory and company standards and procedures.
- Auditing both the activity and management systems of all completion and well intervention service providers.
- Ensuring maintenance of all completion and well intervention equipment in accordance with the technical integrity standards and auditing for compliance with legislative requirements.
- Provide input to well design, intervention programmes, and operations and logistics planning.
- Coordinates well operations with contractors on site to ensure compliance with the approved well programs in line with Comapny procedures.
- Monitoring all well site personnel and materials movements to ensure that there are no delays to programme. Reporting and Liaison.
- Ensuring accurate and timely reporting of all completion rig and well intervention site activities.
- On-site well services and service company monitoring and first-level cost control/approval.
- Perform contractor audits/oversights to ensure service providers are working to their own standards (SOPs).
- Capture and reporting of lessons learned, after action reviews and end of well reports.
- Developing team building across the entire team in order to create and promote a culture of openness, involvement and participation.
- The incumbent will be responsible for coaching/training local staff in equivalent positions.
- Responsible for checking all equipment and tools on site after delivery to ensure readiness (QA/QC, Certifications and other relevant documentation).
- Prepares Daily Reports during all WI operations (DWR).
- Prepares Daily Cost Tracker during all well intervention operations (DCR) and other relevant daily reports.
- Initiates the Management of Change (MOC) process when required and communicates the issue to the WS Superintendent.
Requirements:
- Minimum 15 years’ experience, including workovers and well intervention operations at supervisory level.
- Preferably have a qualification degree in Petroleum Engineering or a similar technical or scientific discipline.
- PC Literate - working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Must be able to work with a team, take directions from WS Superintendent(s), and focus on attention to detail.
- Must be self-motivated and capable of working with limited direct supervision.
- Must be capable of completing and tracking multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must have a track record of recent experience as a Workover, Completions and Well Intervention Supervisor.
- Must have good understanding of best industry practice on supervising well integrity during completions, workover and rigless operations.
- Level 4 IWCF certification: wireline, coiled tubing & completions.
- Fluent in English.
- Develops highly positive relationships with both field and office teams.
