Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with all aspects of rig tendering and rig contract management:
*Preparing the scope of work for the rig
*Prepare draft rig contract, technical evaluation, and commercial evaluation tables
*Undertake technical evaluation of rigs, including audit of each candidate rig and rig contractor against agreed technical and safety requirements
*Audit (with assistance of third party) of preferred candidate rig
*Completion of tender evaluation and recommendation
*Completion of commercial evaluation and award recommendation
*Supervise the preparation of the selected rig for the company's operations
*Ongoing rig contractor management
- Provide daily direction and support for the rig and Erbil well teams
- Prepare operational work instructions, tender documents, technical evaluations, and safety documents.
- Manage service companies to ensure timely delivery of service and to drive quality and improvement
- Lead any ‘problem-solving’ meetings and ensure that time is taken to stop activity and ‘re-group’ with key experts if required.
- Ensure that continuous learning is achieved via After Action Reviews and Lessons Learned process
- Drive HSE excellence through daily conversations and monthly HSE-themed initiatives. Ensure all incidents are reported, investigated, and actioned appropriately
- Attention to detail within all operational programmes
- Comply with the company's Drilling Policies – Land Rigs
- Ensure that the team strictly follows the company's procurement processes. No ‘off-contract’ procurement to be permitted.
Requirements:
- Secondary school education and an Engineering degree are preferred.
- IWCF – well control supervisor (level 4) for land rigs
- 20 years + of international land drilling, completion, and well testing experience with at least 7 years with an oil & gas operator
- Experienced in working in Kurdistan and other remote land operations
- Fluent in English.
- Excellent written English skills and the ability to prepare detailed documents and reports, such as tender documents, HSE Bridging Documents, etc
- IWCF well control – level 4 – current certificate
