Senior Corrosion Engineer
Sector:

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Set safety as a first priority in performing duties.
Provide support and guidance to Company and chemical vendors regarding operations, trouble shooting and surveillance for asset integrity issues.
Training and mentoring of Company Corrosion Team to become self-sufficient.
Work closely with chemical vendor(s) to facilitate contract management and technical recommendations.
Train Company's National staff to interpret data from monitoring surveillance.
Identify and evaluate process treating requirements to ensure proper product selection, laboratory testing, troubleshooting, and surveillance is performed.
Assist in setting up API level procedures for laboratory.
Corrosion management- Develop, Identify, Define.
Provide technical competence in areas of material specifications, metallurgy, cathodic protection, coatings and chemical treatment relating to Company's operations.
Focus on preventive programs required to mitigate corrosion expected with sour gas and sour oil operations, including but not limited to, SIC, HIC, SSC, Methanol Injection.
Monitor effectiveness of integrity programs, develop and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for these programs.
Provide QA / QC of repair and fabrication methods.
Complete vessel inspection and Root Cause Failure analysis reports.
Facilitate management of surveillance data base.
Optimize process treating to reduce production down time and reduce potential for any loss of containment / loss of integrity.
Requirements:
Must have a B.Sc. in Engineering from a recognised University.
Minimum of 15 years Oil and Gas experience in the field of corrosion mitigation.
Minimum of 5 years of sour gas / sour oil exposure.
Experienced in developing Risk Based Inspection programs.
Understand his/her role in contributing to overall Asset Integrity Management.
Cultural sensitivity and experience working with different cultures.
Proven track record in mentoring and training of National workforce.
Technical report writing skills and ability to keep Management informed of pending Asset Integrity Issues.
Must have a hands-on, lead-by-example approach.
Working Conditions:
Field Based 5/5 rotation role.
