Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform installation, troubleshooting, maintenance,
and repair of HVAC systems, including chillers, air handling units,
compressors, ductwork, and refrigeration units.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative
maintenance programs to maximize equipment lifespan and efficiency.
- Ensure HVAC systems comply with occupational safety,
environmental, and operational regulations, particularly in hazardous oil
and gas environments.
- Diagnose HVAC-related issues and determine
appropriate corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of all service and
maintenance activities and complete technical reports.
- Assist in the design, selection, and installation of
new HVAC systems or upgrades to existing systems.
- Coordinate with other maintenance, electrical, and
operations teams to optimize integrated system performance.
- Monitor HVAC control systems (e.g., BMS - Building
Management Systems) and make necessary adjustments.
- Participate in emergency response and standby duties
as required.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC
Technology, or a related technical field.
- Minimum [3-5+] years of hands-on HVAC experience,
preferably in oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial facilities.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems,
thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and HVAC codes.
- Familiar with standard ASHRAE
- Proficiency in using HVAC diagnostic tools,
instruments, and maintenance software.
- Familiarity with hazardous area classifications
(ATEX, IECEx) is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings,
blueprints, and schematics.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a
multicultural, high-risk environment.
- Certifications such as EPA Universal, OSHA Safety
Training, or HVAC Trade Licenses are advantageous.
- Physical fitness to perform site work in offshore,
onshore, or remote environments under extreme conditions.
